Quinta Foz da Lousa
Welcome to
Quinta Foz da Lousa
A refuge between the forest and tradition.
An isolated place, surrounded by nature, where it was possible to live in tranquility and in connection with the land. It was in this setting, in Alvares, Góis, that an old abandoned village was found, made up of ruined stone houses, forgotten in time, but full of potential to be reborn.
In 2017, the massive forest fires deeply scarred the landscape and reinforced a conviction: it was necessary to do more than rebuild. It was necessary to regenerate the territory, protect the forest, and create lasting solutions for the future.
Thus was born the vision of Quinta da Foz da Lousa: to transform this place into a living, resilient space in harmony with nature. Reforestation with native species, the restoration of stone houses, and the integration of animals such as goats and sheep are part of an ecological approach designed to care for the landscape and prevent fires naturally.
